Requirements
  • Doctorate in cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field with specialization in cybersecurity and network security (preferred)
  • Master’s degree in cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (strongly encouraged)
  • Possession of security-related certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, CCNA, etc.) (strongly encouraged)
  • Doctorate degree must be received prior to appointment for the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor
Responsibilities
  • Teaching undergraduate courses in cybersecurity, security, and risk analysis
  • Teaching in-person and synchronously
  • Primary teaching areas include digital networking and network security, cybersecurity and cyber forensics, security and malware analytics, and risk management
  • Secondary teaching areas could include static and dynamic malware analysis, cyber defensive techniques, cybersecurity-related machine learning, programming skills (Java & Python), and database technology
  • Maintaining a high level of professional activity through scholarship and service
  • Undertaking committee work, advising, community engagement, and mentorship
