Clinical Lab Technologist – Laboratory – Per Diem

We also offer a robust robotic surgery program, which uses the latest technology for minimally invasive procedures. Among our top surgeons and specialists are physicians from ColumbiaDoctors, the faculty practice of Columbia University Irving Medical Center.

Deliver care you can be proud of as a Laboratory Technologist you will conduct routine and complex tests on clinical specimens. Perform a variety of automated and manual tests in all lab areas, which include Blood Bank, Hematology, Chemistry, Serology, Coagulation, Urinalysis and Microbiology following established procedures and without immediate supervision. May be assigned to a specific section or may rotate in all sections. When the technologist meets NYSDOH supervisory criteria may be assigned to perform “in-charge” responsibilities in the absence of a supervisor. Obtain and receive laboratory specimens, including, blood, urine, and body fluids. Perform and interpret clinical laboratory tests used in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.

This is a per diem position working variable shifts on-demand as needed including weekends. Location is our NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital campus located at 1980 Crompond Road, Cortlandt Manor NY in Upper Westchester County.

Preferred Criteria

• ASCP certification 

Required Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology (or equivalent curriculum)
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York State Education Department
