Requirements
  • Proficiency in using a personal computer and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Four years of intermediate programmable logic controller, human-machine interface, and supervisory control and data acquisition programming and system startup experience, unless meeting the associate degree education pathway.
  • A valid state driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to work an after-hours on-call rotation.
  • Ability to work between 6 AM and 6 PM Monday through Friday, with schedules that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work on-site at customer facilities and travel 25–50%.
  • Authorization to work for any employer in the United States.
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug test.
Responsibilities
  • Methodically approach process startup.
  • Work independently to assess and troubleshoot service needs under stressful conditions, including machine downtime and customer financial loss.
  • Work through complicated systems and intermittent issues.
  • Work with the team and take direction from senior Automation Engineers, or provide direction to less senior Automation Engineers.
  • Contribute to team brainstorming activities and solutions.
  • Work independently on intermediate-level project assignments with Systems Architects, Project Engineers, and customers.
  • Provide programming and commissioning support and own the startup and project scope.
  • Participate in continued education efforts.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
