Requirements
  • 5+ years of directly related experience in logistics safety compliance
  • Expert knowledge in OSHA, ISO, and CTPAT Qualifications is required
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, including FMCSA regulations, CSA, and ELD requirements required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Able to manage complex operations within Safety and manage multiple projects
  • Bachelor's Degree Required
Responsibilities
  • Drive excellence in OSHA, FMCSR, DOT, EPA ISO and company policies, conduct projects to improve compliance and workplace safety
  • Recognize potential risks and design and implement projects to improve workplace safety and reduce accidents through safety training, skills training, proper job instruction, new employee indoctrination etc
  • Conduct training projects in areas such as safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment, etc
  • Review safety policies and practices to ensure they are current and appropriate and issue corrective action if any risks recognized
  • Partner with key stakeholders on projects in support of compliance and safety goals
  • Manage and monitor an accident investigation project to prevent recurrence
  • Develop employee wellness projects and increase health education
