Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Project Manager to oversee and manage pharmaceutical translation and localization projects. The successful candidate will ensure that all projects are executed efficiently, meet quality standards, and adhere to regulatory requirements, all while managing stakeholder expectations and maintaining a high level of service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute pharmaceutical translation and localization projects from initiation to completion. Develop project timelines, manage resources, and ensure deliverables are met on time and within budget. Handle quoting processes, including both quote preparation and follow-ups with stakeholders.
- Client Interaction: Serve as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders as applicable, addressing their needs and providing updates throughout the project lifecycle. Understand requirements and translate them into actionable project plans.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all translated materials adhere to industry-specific terminology, regulatory requirements, and quality standards. Implement quality control processes and review translated content for accuracy and consistency.
- Team Coordination: Collaborate with in-house linguists, external translators, and localization specialists. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth workflow and efficient project execution.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant pharmaceutical regulations and standards, including FDA, EMA, and ICH guidelines. Stay updated on industry changes and incorporate them into project management practices.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Address and resolve any issues that arise during the project to ensure successful delivery.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present regular project reports, including status updates, budget tracking, and performance metrics. Maintain comprehensive project documentation for reference and compliance.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Languages, or a related field. Advanced degree or certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
- Experience: 2-5 years of project management experience in the pharmaceutical translation and localization industry, with experience working with Pharma/Life Science clients. Demonstrated experience managing complex projects and stakeholder relationships.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and regulatory requirements. Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Proficiency in translation management software and project management tools. Experience working with CAT tools such as Wordbee and/or Studio is beneficial (though can be taught). Familiarity with Jira is a bonus but can also be taught.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English and proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
