Requirements
  • Hold a current driver's license.
  • Occasionally lift and move more than 50 pounds.
  • Work with tools on vehicles lifted above the technician's head.
  • Work in tight spaces as required by the vehicle repair.
  • Use hand tools efficiently with the required dexterity.
  • Walk and stand for the majority of the workday.
  • Drive manual-transmission vehicles.
  • Maintain a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment.
  • Navigate a computer efficiently.
Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and repair services, including oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, suspension alignments, and related services.
  • Perform state-mandated vehicle emissions and safety inspections in accordance with state regulations.
  • Troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively as part of a team.
  • Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance reports are complete and accurate.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local service-operation regulations, including hazardous-waste disposal and OSHA right-to-know requirements.
  • Assist with housekeeping functions as directed by management.
  • Work with the service department and communicate the extent of vehicle damage or malfunctions effectively.
  • Follow and promote standards for safety, cleanliness, and organization.
Desired Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
