Requirements
  • Excellent AutoCAD skills.
  • Two to six years of structural design experience in the building design industry.
  • Experience in wood-framed construction.
  • Understanding of building envelope requirements.
  • Strong writing and grammar skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally with architects, builders, and owners.
  • Strong organization and time management skills, including the ability to multitask and run multiple projects concurrently.

Responsibilities
  • Produce structural designs and details for residential buildings under tight time constraints.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience designing buildings with steel, wood, and concrete is preferred.
  • Experience working with mechanical systems and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning is a plus.
  • Familiarity with building codes is a plus.
