The product delivers operational performance up to 600°F (315°C), with short-duration performance reaching 800°F (427°C). The adhesive targets aerospace, defence, and space applications requiring extreme thermal resistance. It is solvent-free, room-temperature stable, and requires no freezer storage, reducing logistics complexity for manufacturers. ApexFrame 5000 is available as an unsupported film adhesive in standard roll widths of 12 inches (300mm) and 38 inches (965mm), with additional options available upon request. The product was developed using Cambium's integrated pipeline, compressing development time from years to months. Cambium operates manufacturing, development, and testing facilities across the US, UK, and EU.
Flying Eyes Optics and Cambium have partnered to create laser eye protection for professional pilots. The companies will debut SentinelOps laser-blocking lenses in Flying Eyes' headset-compatible frames at ALPA's 70th Air Safety Forum in Washington, D.C., from 14–17 September 2026. Pilots reported 10,994 laser strikes to the FAA in 2025, with more than 330 injuries tracked since 2010. Cambium's lens technology uses a precision notch filter that attenuates 532nm green laser light whilst preserving colour acuity for reading cockpit instruments. Flying Eyes' patented Resilamide temples are 1mm thick and flexible, allowing the eyewear to be worn comfortably under headsets without breaking the ear seal. The lenses will be offered across Flying Eyes' frame lineup.

Cambium, an El Segundo-based advanced materials manufacturer, has launched SentinelOps, a laser eye protection and directed-energy protection technology platform. The first product is protective eyewear designed for commercial and military aviation applications. The platform addresses laser illumination incidents that pose risks to pilots and military personnel. The US Federal Aviation Administration logs tens of thousands of cockpit laser strikes annually, with Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, and Chicago amongst the highest-frequency corridors. SentinelOps technology provides protection across visible and near-infrared spectrum whilst maintaining colour fidelity and visual acuity. The technology can be adapted for eyewear, cockpit windows, and sensor platforms.
