  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations and compliance requirements relative to employee compensation and benefits with a focus on California and Washington
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of sensitive and confidential issues
  • Ability to address compensation issues through independent analysis, evaluation, and deductive reasoning skills
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of organizational skills and the ability to manage and complete work in an efficient and thorough manner
  • 3+ years of experience administering compensation and equity-based programs, policies, and processes. Experience with Spain and other parts of the EU is highly preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
  • Implement best practices, business process improvements, and the design compensation structures
  • Ensure compensation programs are administered in compliance with organization policies and government regulations as well as local law
  • Provide pragmatic recommendations and solutions on compensation plans, guidelines and policies, job reference levels, total rewards, and compensation philosophy
  • Assists in the development of internal policies/standards for compensation-related programs
  • Produce monthly/quarterly/annual metric reports and analyze compensation data, benchmarking against current markets
  • May administer and/or manage compensation programs such stock award grants, stock option exercises, and work with third-party administrators to maintain and ensure the accuracy and integrity of equity data in the recordkeeping system
  • Assist in additional projects as necessary
  • Act as the liaison for external brokerage on upcoming programs, program design, and employee requests
  • Support the retirement plans which may include - coordinating the audit process, filing form 5500, etc
