Requirements
  • An Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field is required.
  • Two to three years of experience in accounting, payroll, benefits administration, or a similar role is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills, is required.
Responsibilities
  • Process and maintain personnel and pay-related records for new hires, promotions, employee changes, and separations.
  • Assist with benefit-related transactions and maintain related forms, reports, and records.
  • Coordinate pay and benefit-related updates with City vendors.
  • Review and reconcile insurance billings and invoices, identify and resolve discrepancies, and assist with maintaining accurate, compliant records.
  • Prepare and maintain HR reports and metrics.
  • Assist with developing standard operating procedures.
  • Analyze data for accuracy and research and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies.
  • Provide backup support for employment verifications and front desk operations.
  • Administer the Tuition Reimbursement Program.
  • Stay informed about relevant HR, pay, and benefit requirements.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Tyler Munis or a comparable HRIS/payroll system.
  • Experience with payroll, benefits billing, reconciliations, or accounts-related functions in a public-sector environment.
