The Department of Fine Arts at Brandeis University seeks an instructor for FA 9a, Introduction to Digital Photography, a four-credit course in Spring of 2025. This course is a studio class, an introduction to the visual forms and concepts of the photographic image. A range of digital techniques is covered along with aspects of the history of photography, intended for both studio majors and non-majors. The class meets on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:30pm –4:10pm
Candidates with Master of Fine Arts or equivalent and demonstrated teaching at the college or university level will be given preference. Interested individuals should submit a cover letter, CV, a draft course syllabus, and names and contact information for two references. The deadline for first consideration is November 15, 2024.
This appointment is to a position that is in a collective bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local 509.
