Job Description Summary
The Operating Room (OR) Liaison reports to the OR Liaison Supervisor. Under general supervision, the OR Liaison performs daily activities between the OR and Sterile Processing Department to facilitate efficient case flow to include communication with the OR staff to ensure availability of specific instrument and supply needs and transport of appropriate instruments to the designated cleaning area as needed. This position promotes customer service satisfaction through training, education, and resolution of staff and physicians.

Job Description
Education
An Associate’s degree in a related field and three (3) years of significant hospital work experience in Sterile Processing and/or Operating Room;
or high school diploma or equivalency (GED) and five (5) years of significant hospital work experience in Sterile Processing and/or Operating Room required.
A thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and software programs relevant to the work area required. Must have the ability to build and maintain relationships; execute customer service, leadership, adaptability, and problem solving.

Ability to maintain vision 20/40 corrected. (C) Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand or at a distance. (C) Ability to match or discriminate between colors. (C) Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception. (C) Good peripheral vision capabilities. (C) Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction.
