Requirements
  • 2-4 years of experience in fashion styling, visual merchandising, or mannequin styling-retail store or showroom experience strongly preferred
  • Strong styling portfolio that aligns with Princess Polly’s aesthetic: trend-forward, effortless, youthful, and bold
  • Proven understanding of fashion trends, retail sales cycles, and consumer behavior
  • Ability to translate sell-through data and inventory depth into compelling, revenue-driving styling strategies
  • Comfortable traveling frequently and working independently in a fast-paced, multi-store environment
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel by air or road as required
Responsibilities
  • Style 25–40 mannequins per store, mirroring the style direction set on the website while adapting looks to store-specific inventory and maintaining overall brand identity. Mannequins to be updated biweekly or when product sells out.
  • Travel predominantly to our Southern California retail locations 80% of the time (potential for East Coast Travel), ensuring mannequin styling aligns with seasonal trends and visual directives.
  • Deliver monthly in-store styling sessions with retail teams, focusing on trend education, styling confidence and product storytelling
  • Create and distribute clear, actionable mannequin styling guides and directives to each store to ensure consistent execution across all stores.
  • Partner with the AU Style Director to ensure the Princess Polly mannequins reflect the vision and aesthetic of the brand.
  • Work with the Buying and Planning teams to prioritize best sellers, and ensure mannequins are used to focus on new inventory, first repeats and top trends.
  • Report directly to the Director of Visual Experience, aligning your styling approach with high-level brand strategy and business goals.
  • Monitor and adapt styling to drive sell-through, merchandising strategically to support product performance.
  • Collaborate with Visual Merchandising, Buying, and Store Operations teams to align product priorities, visual direction and seasonal window presentations.
  • Conduct regular assessments of mannequin presentations, making adjustments and giving stores direct feedback based on product flow and store-specific needs.
  • Support store openings, resets, and seasonal transitions with strong visual presentations and styling leadership.
  • Train in-store teams on mannequin styling standards, updates, and visual merchandising principles.

Gen Z fashion favorite Princess Polly opening at Town Center Mall in Boca. Princess Polly at the Dadeland Mall (Courtesy) The mall culture of yesteryear may be on its way out in other markets, but it's very much alive in Boca Raton - and Gen Z is jumping on board, too. The women's clothing store Princess Polly will be opening at Town Center mall in Boca Raton sometime in the second half of 2026, according to an announcement from the brand. Other Florida stores include the Mall at Millenia in Orlando, St. John's Town Center in Jacksonville. Currently, Princess Polly stans have had to drive to the Dadeland Mall in Kendall for a clothing haul. We imagine there will be major crowds to welcome Princess Polly to Boca Raton, which plans to have a celebration with prizes, giveaways and offers. After all, last August, fellow Gen Z-loved brand Edikted arrived at the mall and drew a line of 1,000 fans for the grand opening.

Brands Holding Corp. (NYSE: AKA) has announced it has fully executed leases for eight new Princess Polly stores across the U.S. and expects to announce additional locations throughout the year. New locations set to open in the second half of 2026 include Houston, Texas; Frisco, Texas; Orlando, Florida; and Edina, Minnesota, with locations in Jacksonville, Florida; Nashville, Tennessee; Boca Raton, Florida; and Charlotte, North Carolina opening in early 2027. Princess Polly has strategically grown its U.S. retail footprint in recent years, and this next wave of openings will introduce the brand to Minnesota and Texas for the first time. The retailer also debuted its first Australian retail location at Bondi Beach last year, with additional expansion in Australia planned for this year.
