  • Ability to work in environments involving dust, fumes or odors, chemicals, mechanical, electrical, radiation, explosive, and biological hazards.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One to two years of data entry or related experience.
  • One to two years of customer service or related experience.
  • Criminal background check.
  • Drug and alcohol screening.
Responsibilities
  • Receive and log collected samples into the Laboratory Information Management System.
  • Retrieve and maintain current customer information in the Laboratory Information Management System.
  • Update and maintain sample field data and analyses in the Laboratory Information Management System.
  • Perform routine analyses and quality-control activities on received samples as required by regulations and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Perform, record, update, and maintain inventory and consumables logs.
  • Monitor and record laboratory metrics daily, including temperatures of refrigerators, freezers, ovens, and incubators and balance verification checks.
  • Calibrate and verify essential laboratory equipment.
  • Prepare solutions and wash glassware.
  • Control site access using intercoms and surveillance systems.
  • Perform microbiology laboratory analyses as requested and under supervision.
  • Determine and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
Desired Qualifications
  • Some college in a science-related field.
  • Experience in a laboratory environment.
  • Experience with a Laboratory Information Management System.
