Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree and 10 or more years of work experience, with up to 2 years of experience potentially waived for a master's degree.
  • Experience working in a dynamic, fast-turn environment involving Homeland Security, National Security, and/or Law Enforcement matters.
  • Ability to attain and maintain Department of Homeland Security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide advisory and communications support by building presentations and briefing materials, drafting responses to congressional correspondence and requests for information, and editing documents for senior leadership.
  • Build and maintain collaborative and strategic relationships with federal law enforcement managers and subject matter experts.
  • Analyze, interpret, and communicate complex and technical mission-related policies, procedures, and programs using clear and succinct language.
  • Track and report the progress of high-profile written tasks, subtasks, and reports.
  • Assist clients and team members with research, process improvement, and fast-moving special projects.
  • Collaborate with mission leadership, external organizations, and internal program teams to collect and compile information for timely responses and ad hoc assignments.
  • Facilitate clients' needs, issues, and challenges; perform gap analysis and recommend solutions.
  • Support cross-discipline team members by tracking project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
  • Provide input into strategic materials, including graphic design, videos, marketing materials, press releases, strategic plans, standard operating procedures, and guidebooks.
  • Develop, gather, and disseminate information and documentation among customers and external stakeholders in support of the program.
