Responsibilities:

• Lead project-level solution design, ensuring that the solution meets the needs and expectations of all project stakeholders.
• Advocate for and promote Enterprise Architecture and Domain Architecture recommendations within the project team.
• Oversee the overall quality of the solution, including security, performance, flexibility, availability, and other non-functional aspects.
• Make decisions regarding technologies to be used in the solution, particularly those not already defined by the Enterprise or Domain Architecture teams.
• Deliver architecture-related artifacts such as non-functional requirements, system diagrams, data models, and a traceability matrix to track the solution from requirements to design, implementation, and test cases.
• Collaborate with Operations to plan infrastructure upgrades, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system performance and uptime.
• Provide leadership to both junior and senior software engineers, leveraging and enhancing their skills.
• Develop and manage system design models, including activity models, class models, and data models.
• Justify and present proposed architecture and design decisions, comparing alternatives when necessary.
• Design SaaS solutions that are scalable, reliable, and capable of performing optimally with robust monitoring capabilities.
• Ensure alignment of solution architecture with business value, using design patterns and anti-patterns effectively.
• Actively manage the full application development lifecycle (SDLC), working with various methodologies (waterfall, agile, and hybrid).
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing clear and compelling presentations and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java, related JEE/J2EE technology stack, and front-end technologies such as React.js.
• 5+ years of experience in solution architecture and design.
• Experience with programming APIs, Java/JEE, Hibernate, Spring Framework, JSP, AJAX, JavaScript, XML and XML parsers, SOAP/REST web services, and service-oriented architectures (SOA).
• Strong data modeling skills and experience writing stored procedures.
• Retail and payment domain experience is highly valued.
• Experience with third-party tool integration and cloud middleware platforms.
• Ability to design SaaS solutions with a focus on scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Leadership experience in mentoring software engineers, fostering collaboration and growth.
• Proficiency in UML to build solution architecture models.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong presentation, collaboration, and negotiation abilities.
• Deep understanding of SDLC, including waterfall, agile, and hybrid methodologies.

Must Have Technical Skills:

• Expertise in APIs, Java/JEE, Hibernate, Spring Framework, JSP, AJAX, JavaScript, XML and XML parsers, SOAP/REST web services, service-oriented architectures (SOA), data modeling, and stored procedures.
