Requirements
  • A minimum of 4 years of commercial construction plumbing experience is required.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, materials, and tools is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, isometrics, and riser diagrams is required.
  • Experience with underground, rough-in, and finish installations is required.
  • Ability to lift more than 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work at heights or in confined spaces is required.
Responsibilities
  • Install, assemble, and test plumbing systems in new commercial and industrial buildings.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine system layouts and required materials.
  • Lay out, measure, cut, thread, bend, and install pipe, fittings, valves, and fixtures for water, waste, vent, and gas systems.
  • Perform pressure testing, water testing, and system verification to ensure code compliance and functionality.
  • Coordinate with other trades to maintain proper sequencing and avoid field conflicts.
  • Ensure installations meet all state and local plumbing codes and Occupational Safety and Health Administration safety requirements.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs of work performed, materials used, and progress updates.
  • Support the project schedule by meeting milestones and productivity targets.
  • Train and mentor apprentices and helpers to develop skills and maintain safety standards.
  • Participate in site safety meetings and enforce jobsite cleanliness and organization.
Desired Qualifications
  • Understanding of hydronic systems, gas piping, and backflow prevention is preferred.
