- A valid security license.
- An open manual Australian driver's license.
- RII30719 Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue.
- HLTAID014 Provide Advanced First Aid.
- HLTAID015 Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy.
- HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
- Current immunizations for tetanus, Hepatitis A, and Hepatitis B.
- Computer literacy in the Microsoft Office suite.
- A National Police Check.
- A current physical functional capacity evaluation.
- The ability to pass a Rail Category 2 medical.
- Respond to emergency situations including fire activations, road crash rescues, vertical rescues, confined space rescues, hazardous material incidents, and medical treatment situations.
- Maintain emergency vehicles and equipment.
- Conduct random drug and alcohol testing.
- Participate in emergency response skills maintenance training.
- Serve as first response to incidents and emergencies during the shift and return the site to a safe and harmonious state after incidents.
