  • Authorized to work in the US.
  • Able to work full-time, in-person out of our Bellevue office during normal business hours.
  • 4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with emphasis on data platforms.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure data pipelines and computations are accurate, reliable, efficient, and fast.
Desired Qualifications
  • Proficient in Python, with expertise in SQL.
  • Prior experience in Java, Node.js, Rust, and React are considered a bonus.
  • Familiar with big data technologies like BigQuery and Spark, or a strong background in distributed data processing, data modeling, and software engineering of data services.
  • Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience working with data architectures and modern cloud technologies.
  • Comfort in working in fast, high-growth environments; comfortable with multi-tasking, ambiguous projects, and have a strong bias for action.

Statsig provides a feature-flag, experimentation, and analytics platform that lets software teams test and roll out new features to subsets of users from a single control panel. It offers live logs, impact metrics, and open-source SDKs to validate releases and reduce gate-check latency. Automated experiment analysis with Pulse and Metrics Explorer helps track how features affect product metrics and user behavior, with integrations to Datadog, Segment, and mParticle. Its goal is to enable data-driven decisions at scale by measuring the impact of every product release.

OpenAI has acquired product development startup Statsig for $1.1 billion. Statsig CEO Vijaye Raji will join OpenAI as technology chief in the applications unit, reporting to Fidji Simo. Statsig will continue to operate independently from its Seattle office. This acquisition is part of OpenAI's recent aggressive expansion, following its $6.5 billion acquisition of Jony Ive's AI devices startup IO. The deal is subject to regulatory approval.
