Requirements
  • OSHA 30 Construction Safety certification, or willingness to obtain it within 90 days of hire.
  • EM 385-1-1 Safety certification, or willingness to obtain it within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to gain and retain base access.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in construction quality control and/or site safety roles.
  • Experience supporting federal, military, or large-scale construction projects.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating quality control activities with project scheduling and construction equipment requirements.
  • Experience working on active construction sites and coordinating with project teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and applicable safety regulations.
  • Ability to identify quality and safety deficiencies and effectively coordinate corrective actions.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining project quality and safety objectives.
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with government representatives, subcontractors, project personnel, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel independently for project site visits and inspections as required.
  • Ability to work on active construction sites and in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to access and work around ladders, scaffolding, and elevated work areas.
  • Ability to conduct regular site inspections and walk construction areas as required by project activities.
Responsibilities
  • Implement, manage, and enforce the approved Quality Control Plan in accordance with contract specifications.
  • Conduct and document Three-Phase Control inspections, including Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up inspections.
  • Perform daily quality inspections and prepare detailed Daily Quality Control Reports.
  • Coordinate quality control activities with project schedules, workforce planning, and equipment utilization.
  • Identify deficiencies and manage Non-Conformance Reports through resolution.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and submittals for compliance with project requirements.
  • Coordinate required testing and inspections with third-party agencies.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with Government Quality Assurance Representatives.
  • Resolve constructability challenges and provide practical, innovative solutions.
  • Maintain warranty tracking and supporting documentation.
  • Provide technical expertise in support of ongoing and emerging project opportunities.
  • Implement and enforce the Site Safety and Health Plan in accordance with applicable OSHA and EM 385-1-1 requirements.
  • Conduct daily safety inspections and document identified hazards and corrective actions.
  • Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety training.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare required reports.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture throughout project sites and work activities.
  • Travel to project sites for inspections and other project-related activities as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Certified Safety Professional, Construction Health and Safety Technician, or similar safety credential.
  • Experience executing U.S. Military, Department of Defense, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, or Department of State/Overseas Buildings Operations projects and programs.
  • Demonstrated experience managing quality control documentation and reporting for government contracts.
  • Familiarity with RMS and ProjNet systems.
  • Direct experience delivering U.S. military construction and infrastructure projects.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10–15%, with additional travel as required by project needs.
