Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Ability to diagnose complex devices, including mechanical, electrical, and software issues.
  • Hands-on experience with electromechanical devices.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and software description documents.
  • Ability to efficiently use electrical test equipment, mechanical test fixtures, and software-based diagnostic tools.
  • Candidates must be prepared to provide specific examples of hands-on academic projects or pertinent work experience, including self-initiated learning and progression.
Responsibilities
  • Join a team of investigators reviewing device issues reported from the field and diagnose returned hardware to determine root cause.
  • Conduct detailed failure analysis of returned medical products and document findings, including reviewing and interpreting log data and performing physical evaluations.
  • Report product investigations within a Food and Drug Administration-compliant Quality Management System while following good documentation practices.
  • Support implementation of product improvements based on findings to enhance product quality and patient quality of life.
  • Participate in maintaining returned material investigation procedures and processes.
  • Maintain product quality in line with company and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with representatives from various engineering disciplines to determine root cause.
  • Configure and operate computer-based data acquisition equipment.
