Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of related experience in software infrastructure development and management.
  • Experience with Agile development, preferably Scrum.
  • Strong technical design and development skills for creating scalable and efficient solutions to complex business problems.
  • At least two years of Infrastructure as a Service experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Experience designing new systems from the ground up and improving existing systems.
  • Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot business-critical systems during outages.
  • Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technology and perform thorough product evaluations.
  • Ability to present technical solutions to partners and customers.
  • An active Security+ certification.
  • Eligibility for a security clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in the complete software development life cycle.
  • Interface directly with clients and build working relationships across organizational levels.
  • Provide technology leadership to the managed services team.
  • Assess risks and impacts of the existing hosting environment and obtain knowledge transfer.
  • Establish development tools, guidelines, and conventions for Shell Scripting, Windows PowerShell, Python, and other programming languages as needed.
  • Design, code, and test Infrastructure as Code scripts.
  • Maintain existing scripts by evaluating and improving code and applying bug fixes.
  • Investigate and develop skills in new technologies.
  • Create technical specifications and test plans.
  • Work with other software development teams to understand their infrastructure requirements.
  • Build infrastructure monitoring strategies and instrument the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environment.
Desired Qualifications
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure or Oracle database and middleware certifications.
  • An active Secret clearance.
