Requirements
  • MS or PhD student in Computer Science, Engineering or related disciplines
  • Research experience or coursework in one or more of the following areas: robotics, computer vision, machine learning, neural networks, mechatronics, signal processing, or a related technical field
  • Experience building robotic systems (hardware/software) is desirable
  • Programming experience in one or more of the following:
  • C, C++, Python, and/or functional programming languages
  • Excellent communication skills in verbal and written English
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional and multi-cultural team environment
Responsibilities
  • We are looking for research interns at multiple levels who will contribute to one or more of the following areas: robot manipulation, computer vision, multi-modal sensing, learning systems, machine learning, and engineering
  • Research Intern in Machine Learning will assist in developing experiments and implementing algorithms to solve problems in neural network architectures, learning algorithms, reinforcement learning, computer vision, natural language, and multimodal sensory processing. Engineering Interns will build test setups, perform experiments, and prototype robotic systems to support our robotics research
  • Interns should have a strong motivation to initiate and accomplish an ambitious research agenda. They will work together with Research Scientists and Engineers in collaborative, interdisciplinary teams to discover, invent, and build products that have meaningful real-world impact
  • This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, and frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers
