  • Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
Responsibilities
  • Assist providers and the nursing team in the delivery of professional medical care, including pre-visit planning, rooming patients, obtaining vitals, and assisting with procedures as needed.
  • Utilize the electronic medical record system and scan/download documents.
  • Telephone screening using protocols and perform phlebotomy as needed.
  • Provide administrative support such as prior authorizations, prescription refills, and other duties as assigned.
  • Support Physicians, Advance Practice Providers, Registered Nurses with operational and clinical tasks; assist Referral Specialist with coordinating patient scheduling via EPIC platform for providers and multi-disciplinary care team; schedule urgent visits for providers from on-call and during business hours.
  • Cover front office duties as needed and provide excellent patient experience by managing patient flow and maintaining professional demeanor.
  • Conduct pre-operative teaching for patients scheduled for the operating room.
  • Manage patient flow and maintain rapport with patients, delivering an excellent patient experience.
