Developer Relations Winter ’25 Intern

Groq’s Winter Internship Program runs from January - May and is full-time during the duration of the internship.

Mission: At Groq, we’re committed to making AI accessible and empowering developers to build innovative applications. Our Developer Relations team is looking for a talented intern to help us build, maintain, and grow our community platform, develop example AI applications, and interact with our developer community to encourage, reward, and support building on Groq.

As a Developer Relations & Support Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that showcase the power of Groq API for lightning-fast inference. You will be responsible for developing example applications that demonstrate the capabilities of our Groq API, helping to manage and grow our GroqChamps developer program, writing compelling developer documentation, and interacting with and supporting our developer community online and in-person at events.

We are searching for a unique individual who can both showcase their technical skills as an apps engineer and collaborate with developers to help them build. You will work on building demos of AI technology integrated with LLMs, audio models, and image generation models; and you will have the opportunity to present to AI communities and business audiences. You will work cross-functionally with an experienced, dedicated fun team in a dynamic environment that values growth and development.

Responsibilities & opportunities in this role:

Develop Innovative AI Demos: Create compelling, real-world applications and tutorials that highlight the speed and low latency of the Groq LPU™ Inference Engine for AI applications.
Contribute to Developer Resources: Collaborate on content for prompt engineering tutorials, API documentation, and bring back user experience feedback to Product.
Expand our GroqChamps Program: Help manage and grow our GroqChamps developer advocacy program, engaging with our community and providing support and guidance.
Enhance Developer Support: Contribute to the development and maintenance of our developer support AI bot for Discord, including updating code and integrating the bot into our community support platform.
Enhance Developer Experience: Collaborate with the Developer Relations & Support team to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions to support our developer community.
Engage with Community: Participate in community outreach and engagement efforts, including social media, forums, and events, sharing your expertise and gathering valuable user feedback.

Ideal candidates have/are:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, JavaScript, and React
Prior involvement in open-source projects and hackathons
Experience creating technical content (blog posts, tutorials, documentation)
Familiarity with cloud deployment, RESTful APIs, and web development technologies
Experience with AI and ML concepts, including inference and model deployment
Active on AI forums and up-to-date with happenings in the AI community, including popular new technologies, libraries, and integrations
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Compensation: The US pay range for our technical internships is $30-$50 / per hour. The US pay range for our non-technical internships is $30-$40 / per hour. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience, country of internship and aligned with Groq’s internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks. #LI-DNI
