Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of broad HR Business Partner experience – OR – a Master’s degree in related field. Four additional years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Fundamental consulting skills, ability to understand business challenges, provide ideas/solutions and support implementation of solutions.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • PHR (SHRM-CP) or SPHR (SHRM-SCP) certification.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as a business partner and consultant to internal customers and stakeholders.
  • Develop innovative solutions to a variety of problems moderate in scope and complexity and determine best course of action to support the business strategy.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to build leadership depth and address critical roles/skills needs and offer development resources.
  • Support Labor Relations Manager with union related activities.
  • Provide HR support for projects and key initiatives and meet deadlines.
  • Conduct employee relations investigations.
  • Provide assistance and maintain credibility as a subject matter expert in HR practices, policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate New Hire Orientation.
  • Partner with Northrop Grumman Centers of Excellence to include, Employee Relations, Compensation, Talent Management and Benefits.
  • Support activities related to our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), Total Rewards Programs and DE&I goals.
  • Support activities related to community engagement such as the college and university outreach goals.
