Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is currently seeking an HR Business Partner (HRBP) to serve at our Allegany Ballistics Laboratory working onsite in Rocket Center, WV. The HRBP will support division HR objectives along with HRBP and Labor Relations responsibilities for client groups. This position will support both union and non-union employees across a variety of jobs and functions. You will provide HR guidance and counsel to leaders, managers, employees, and peer team members. The selected candidate will collaborate with the business to develop and implement solutions and deliver exceptional HR support in a challenging, dynamic business and manufacturing environment.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Serve as a business partner and consultant to internal customers and stakeholders.
- Develop innovative solutions to a variety of problems moderate in scope and complexity and determine best course of action to support the business strategy.
- Collaborate with business leaders to build leadership depth and address critical roles/skills needs and offer development resources.
- Support Labor Relations Manager with union related activities.
- Provide HR support for projects and key initiatives and meet deadlines.
- Conduct employee relations investigations.
- Provide assistance and maintain credibility as a subject matter expert in HR practices, policies and procedures.
- Facilitate New Hire Orientation.
- Partner with Northrop Grumman Centers of Excellence to include, Employee Relations, Compensation, Talent Management and Benefits.
- Support activities related to our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), Total Rewards Programs and DE&I goals.
- Support activities related to community engagement such as the college and university outreach goals.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of broad HR Business Partner experience – OR – a Master’s degree in related field. Four additional years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
- Fundamental consulting skills, ability to understand business challenges, provide ideas/solutions and support implementation of solutions.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications:
- PHR (SHRM-CP) or SPHR (SHRM-SCP) certification.
- Experience with Labor Relations.
Salary Range: $62,200.00 - $93,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
