- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- Hold valid Certified Radiologic Technologist licensure from the State of Florida.
- Hold valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification in Radiography (R).
- Hold valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification in Computed Tomography (CT).
- Maintain current American Heart Association Basic Life Support/Healthcare Provider certification.
- Have a mandatory minimum of two years of computed tomography experience.
- Have experience in at least one of the following areas: advanced imaging proficiency including a 3D laboratory or interventional radiology imaging, cardiac imaging, site proctor or preceptor work for onboarding new hires and cross-training, or dual imaging roles with current proficiency and routine performance in a secondary modality.
- Exercise professional judgment while performing services and maintain a demeanor complementary to quality care.
- Deliver appropriate care, recognize patient conditions, and ensure successful completion of procedures.
- Comply with state and federal regulations applicable to each modality.
- Assess patients’ physical conditions and age-specific needs.
- Provide instructions that achieve patient cooperation and desired results.
- Perform proper patient identification, acquire clinical history, and ensure accurate documentation.
- Position patients, equipment, and associated devices and manipulate technical factors to achieve high-quality images for interpretation.
- Assess diagnostic images for technical quality, proper annotation, patient identification, and demonstration of all relevant anatomy.
- Apply radiation-safety principles to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others.
- Comply with quality-control standards and participate in quality-control tasks.
- Administer contrast medication with and without power injectors.
- Perform venipuncture and evaluate intravenous access for prescribed contrast administration.
- Administer medical aid during adverse reactions to contrast medication and other emergencies.
- Apply standard precautions and personal protective equipment to prevent cross-contamination.
- Assist with supervision of student technologists and train new technologists.
- Use corporate radiology computer systems effectively and accurately.
- Maintain customer safety.
- Maintain punctual attendance consistent with applicable organizational policies and legal standards.
- Maintain compliance with organizational policies, department guidelines, and education requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area and equipment.
- Keep work areas stocked and organized.
- Provide patient transport.
