Requirements
  • Must have at least an active or current Secret security clearance.
  • A Master's or Doctorate degree in a related field and ten years of experience in the respective technical or professional discipline, including five years in the Department of Defense; or a Bachelor's degree in a related field and twelve years of experience in the respective technical or professional discipline, including five years in the Department of Defense; or fifteen years of directly related experience with proper certifications, including eight years in the Department of Defense.
Responsibilities
  • Provide statistical data analysis, modeling, simulation, optimization, and analytical capability to develop and implement performance-management measures and metrics, including methodologies for setting targets and assessing progress.
  • Maintain existing performance measures and metrics and develop, coordinate, and implement new metrics and targets across business areas, including business rules for data collection and supporting tools.
  • Review existing business rules to ensure relevance to desired performance targets.
  • Develop performance measures by identifying data sources, data-pull frequency, formats, calculation documentation, and metric-data analysis.
  • Support Acquisition Sustainment Reviews, Congressional inquiries, and CAT activities.
  • Perform Action Officer duties by preparing briefings, analyzing TMT suspense responses, and formulating recommended courses of action for leadership using TMT and SharePoint.
  • Respond to taskers by identifying problems, analyzing them, identifying courses of action, and making recommendations suitable for the general officer or flag officer level; assist with screening the RSO workflow.
  • Support management of assigned programs and efforts and interact with lateral organizations and external agencies.
  • Use statistical techniques and tools for leading-indicator time-series analyses, including moving averages, exponential smoothing, regression analysis, and Box-Jenkins forecasting.
  • Apply forecasting techniques to identify confidence levels and margins of error, perform sensitivity, what-if, and hypothesis analyses, and use modeling and simulation for metrics forecasting and planning.
  • Support internal and external briefings and reports by preparing, scheduling, and coordinating materials, including correspondence.
  • Produce letters, reports, spreadsheets, database reports, and graphs using standard United States Air Force office-automation software.
  • Assist the RSO PEG suspense and tracking team.
  • Track TMT suspenses, review the RSO PEG workflow mailbox, coordinate responses with directorates, assign action officers, prepare weekly status briefings, assist with suspense closure, package suspenses for AFLCMC program executive officers and functional offices, and train action officers on TMT.
  • Turn data into usable and actionable output and communicate it to AFLCMC senior leaders, including researching, creating, assigning, tracking, and communicating with higher headquarters and directorate offices.
  • Update and retrieve information in the center Microsoft SharePoint document library.
  • Compile, format, and store directorate inputs to taskings for center responses.
  • Use NIPRNET and SIPRNET email to request, compile, and transmit approved responses to higher headquarters or Congressional inquiries.
  • Manage and track civilian and military decoration programs and coordinate with the Directorate of Personnel awards monitor on awards packages.
