Requirements
  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or an equivalent qualification.
  • Applicants currently studying their Certificate IV will be considered.
  • Proficiency in intravenous catheter placement, blood sampling, and anaesthesia monitoring is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
  • A genuine passion for providing exceptional care to animals and their owners.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as part of a rotating roster.
Responsibilities
  • Nurse emergency and critical care patients, including patients with diabetic ketoacidosis, multiple organ dysfunction syndrome, and gastric dilatation-volvulus.
  • Care for patients with central lines, high-flow oxygen, ventilators, and feeding tubes.
  • Use digital systems and Smartflow to support patient care.
  • Complete orientation shifts, shadow shifts, and induction modules as part of the training program.
  • Work shifts ranging from 9 to 12 hours, including mornings, afternoons, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Provide emergency veterinary care to pets and support their families during times of crisis.
  • Work at a single site or across the Frankston, Moorabbin, and Mount Waverley sites.
Desired Qualifications
