Requirements
  • Must be enrolled in a graduate degree program in Public Health, Health Policy, Epidemiology, or related level degree program.
  • Must have a bachelor's degree from a four-year institution.
  • Some positions require a valid Arizona Class D driver license at the time of application or appointment.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation and monitoring of the department’s strategic plan, tracking progress, preparing reports and presentations for community events, conferences, and internal meetings.
  • Enhance the department’s learning environment by assessing employee desk procedures, and supporting employee growth through training programs aligned with national public health standards.
  • Work assignments may include a variety of administrative, operational or technical tasks as assigned by the department.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, management, or business administration.
  • Experience facilitating group meetings, focus groups, community forums, and working in multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural and multi-sectoral partnerships.
  • Experience in leading/facilitating strategic planning in non-profit, public, private organizations/agencies.
  • Experience in collaboration, developing, and maintaining intradepartmental relationships.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in paraprofessional or professional administration.
  • Experience with/knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
