Job Description
BYU–Hawaii has a current opening for an Advancement Vice President
Join us at BYU–Hawaii, where prophetic purpose meets global impact. As a senior leader, you will help shape a university that prepares students to be disciples of Jesus Christ who will live and lead in Oceania and the Asian Rim.
Located on Oahu’s North Shore, the university gathers 3,000 students in a unique environment of intercultural peace and leadership development.
As Vice President for Advancement, reporting directly to the President, you will be a key member of the executive leadership team. You will provide vision and oversight for critical advancement functions, including:
• Marketing and Communications
• Philanthropies
• Alumni Relations
• University Events
• University Scheduling
In this role, you will:
• Strengthen BYU–Hawaii’s global reputation and reach.
• Expand communication and media outreach consistent with the mission of the Church and the university.
• Foster lifelong alumni and community engagement.
• Develop philanthropic partnerships to sustain and accelerate university priorities.
The ideal candidate will bring:
• Proven leadership and organizational expertise.
• A record of accomplishment in advancement or related fields.
• A deep commitment to the mission and prophetic purpose of BYU–Hawaii.
What qualifies you for this role:
This role requires a Master’s degree in Communications, Business, Nonprofit Management, Education, or a related field. Candidates must also have a minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in advancement, communications, alumni relations, philanthropy, or related fields. The position includes a housing allowance and relocation package.

This position will play a pivotal role in preparing students to be lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ and leaders in their families, communities, chosen fields, and in building the kingdom of God.
Compensation:
Approximate starting salary: $160,000 – $175,000. The salary offered could be above or below range based on education and experience as it relates to the job description.
