Responsibilities
  • Build trust-based relationships with client groups and employees across our global organization
  • Provide day-to-day HR guidance to people managers (e.g., coaching, counseling, performance, career development, disciplinary actions)
  • Partner with Talent Management team to manage and support annual Workday performance review process
  • Manage and support organization employee engagement and pulse check process using multiple surveying platforms
  • Provide HR Communications support while partnering with internal PR communications team for HR social media content strategies
  • Manage employee status change processes and HRIS transactions
  • Support Leave of Absence process management
  • Provide mobility support in employee transfer and relocation processes
  • Support various D&I partnerships and committee initiatives
  • Keep up-to-date knowledge of employment law requirements to ensure Rakuten Kobo remains compliant
  • Work proactively with colleagues across a global team and COE's to support a coordinated approach to HR service delivery
  • Support various other HR and Wellness Program delivery and transactional processes as needed
  • Opportunity to participate on various committees: Joint Health & Safety, Kobo Speaks, Social Committee, D&I Committee
  • 2-5 years of HR experience, preferably in the tech industry
  • Post Secondary Education in HR or related field preferred
  • Experience in an accountable and goal-oriented HR role
  • Solid Knowledge of HRIS systems, preferably Workday
  • Global experience an asset
  • Prior experience supporting various HR programs and initiatives
  • Eager to learn and grow as an HR professional
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to build solid relationships
  • Detail oriented and able to work with a high sense of urgency, within a fast-paced environment
