Requirements
  • At least 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including direct ownership of close and consolidation processes across multiple entities, currencies, and regions.
  • At least 2 years of people management experience.
  • A Certified Public Accountant credential.
  • Sarbanes-Oxley Act experience.
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Deep United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles expertise covering consolidation, intercompany accounting, foreign currency translation and revaluation, allocations, cost plus, eliminations, hedging, and functional currency assessments.
  • Experience operating in a large enterprise resource planning environment.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Hands-on experience deploying or evaluating artificial intelligence tools in a finance or accounting context.
  • High ownership, attention to detail, direct communication, calmness under pressure, and comfort executing hands-on work while designing scalable future-state processes.
Responsibilities
  • Own and drive the global close process across Finance, including key milestones, dependencies, status updates, risks, delays, and escalations.
  • Drive artificial intelligence and automation adoption across the close and consolidation process, including automated intercompany eliminations, artificial-intelligence-assisted consolidation variance analysis, data-quality improvements, reduced manual journal entries, and accelerated close cycle times.
  • Execute and own the global consolidation process across monthly, quarterly, and annual close, ensuring the consolidated books are complete, accurate, timely, and audit-ready.
  • Lead consolidation-related activities, including allocations, cost plus, eliminations, revaluation, intercompany activity, consolidated trial balance review, hedging, and related technical close matters.
  • Own functional currency assessments for new and existing entities, monitor triggering events requiring reassessment, and ensure foreign currency translation and revaluation are executed accurately.
  • Explain quarterly financial statement fluxes and key drivers to auditors and Accounting and Finance leadership.
  • Support new entities, acquisitions, and corporate-structure changes by operationalizing close, consolidation, intercompany, and reporting impacts.
  • Own chart-of-accounts structure and governance to support scalable close processes, reporting needs, controls, and future-state operations.
  • Lead and develop team members, set clear expectations, coach through the work, and improve ownership, review quality, and timeliness.
  • Partner with the Transformation team to redesign close processes, reduce manual work, improve data quality, strengthen controls, and accelerate close timing.
  • Support the SAP implementation through close and consolidation process design, chart-of-accounts structure, testing, data readiness, cutover, and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Partner with FP&A, Technical Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Finance Systems, and broader Finance teams to resolve close issues at their source.

Databricks hires ex-AWS executive to lead Asia partners amid 85% growth

Databricks has appointed former Amazon Web Services executive Briscoe to lead its Asia Pacific & Japan partner organisation. She previously headed AWS's partner operations in the region and held similar roles at Microsoft and Cisco. The move supports Databricks' regional expansion. In April, the company named Simon Davies as regional leader and reported over 85% year-on-year growth in its fourth quarter. It now has more than 1,500 employees across Asia Pacific & Japan and plans to establish headquarters in Singapore. Coatue Management is reportedly leading a $3 billion investment in Databricks, according to recent reports. The data analytics company previously raised roughly $5 billion earlier in 2026 at a $134 billion valuation. Databricks sells a lakehouse platform combining data lake and data warehouse capabilities and has expanded into AI software for enterprise applications. The company reported $5.4 billion in revenue run rate in February, up over 65% year on year, which grew to $6.9 billion by June. The earlier financing round included $2 billion in debt capacity intended to fund AI products, acquisitions and employee liquidity. At its current valuation, Databricks exceeds Snowflake's market capitalisation of approximately $83 billion. Management has indicated the company may remain private until market conditions improve.
