Analyst – Onboarding Alt Investments

Main Duties:

• Partner will be responsible for the onboarding of Alternative Asset positions for new clients to Northern Trust and for additional business events for existing clients. Must display and execute all tasks with a constant sense of urgency and ownership. Partner will provide an excellent quality service experience for all clients; both internal and external. Partner must adhere to all established procedures and checklists including:
• Scrubbing the list of assets and statements provided by Client Servicing/New Business Consultants to determine the assets that are in scope for Alternative Assets platforms.
• Once assets are determined to be in scope for Alternatives, the Partner will be responsible for ensuring all information that is required to place the asset on record is obtained.
• Creation of Interested Party letters to update wiring instructions. Once Interested Party letters are signed and received back from the client, the Partner must send the letters to the appropriate contacts at the fund company.
• Attending and participating in all scheduled calls/meetings related to the assigned client onboarding event and providing updates as needed.
• In addition to onboarding clients and placing assets on record, partner will be responsible for day to day tasks. These include but are not limited to:
• Processing asset transfers between accounts and platforms.
• Removing assets from record.
• Inactivating assets Alts platform.
• Resolving exceptions within the Alts platform.
• Monitoring our shared team email distribution mailbox.
• Partner should display a high level of professionalism consistent with Northern Trust corporate policies at all times. Partner should be approachable, flexible and consultative to their peers, partners and clients. Partner should actively lead, communicate, and execute professional goals while aligning new skills with current business needs. This includes actively participating in 1:1 meetings with management.

Qualifications:

• A College or University degree and/or some relevant work experience is preferred
• Related Industry qualification / or studying towards, is preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
• Strong organizational skills are required
• Functional / Industry Knowledge is required
• Analytical and problem solving skills are required
• Technically sound in area of expertise and has broader knowledge of other areas such as Alternative Assets
