Requirements
  • Three to five years of experience in the luxury hospitality industry.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the health and safety of all departments and guests overnight, including implementing and enforcing safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Ensure service standards are followed and maintain service excellence throughout the night shift.
  • Oversee the overnight guest experience and promptly resolve guest concerns or issues.
  • Provide guidance and support to all departments during the night shift.
  • Train, nurture, and inspire the team by conducting regular training sessions, providing constructive feedback, and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Implement communication channels between the night shift and other departments.
  • Collaborate with the Front Office Manager and relevant stakeholders to develop and implement standard operating procedures for night-shift operations.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to monitor operational compliance, identify improvements, and implement corrective measures.
  • Manage staffing levels, inventory, and supplies to optimize operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices in night operations and guest experience, implementing improvements where appropriate.
  • Handle escalated issues and complaints during the night shift and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including incident reports, guest feedback, and financial transactions.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to increase productivity and efficiency.
  • Coordinate and supervise all night-shift operations and facilitate communication among departments.
  • Act as the primary overnight guest contact, address concerns, resolve issues, and provide customer service.
  • Implement and enforce security measures for guests, employees, and the property.
  • Inspect the hotel premises and identify or mitigate safety hazards and maintenance issues.
  • Collaborate with the Front Office Manager to develop and implement training programs covering service excellence, emergency procedures, and crisis management.
  • Monitor and document incidents, complaints, and other relevant night-shift information, including follow-up actions.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to maximize revenue and enhance the guest experience.
  • Foster a positive and supportive work environment and motivate and empower the night-shift team.
  • Stay updated on relevant industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies and implement operational improvements.
  • Collaborate with Reservations and Revenue departments to optimize room availability, rates, and occupancy overnight.
  • Act as a liaison between departments to facilitate communication and problem-solving.
  • Respond to emergencies, coordinate emergency response efforts, and ensure appropriate actions are taken.
  • Review and improve operational processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, productivity, and guest satisfaction.
  • Anticipate guest needs, resolve issues before escalation, and create memorable experiences.
  • Perform other tasks as required to meet the needs of guests and colleagues.
