Role Overview:
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will play a vital role in driving our company’s revenue growth by generating and nurturing high-quality sales accepted leads (SALs). Your primary responsibility will be to identify and engage existing and potential customers, qualify prospects, and set up meetings for the sales team. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation:
- Proactively identify and research potential clients within target industries and organizations.
- Use various tools and channels (email, phone calls, social media, etc.) to engage prospects.
- Qualifying Leads:
- Conduct initial outreach to prospects and qualify them based on specific criteria (e.g., company size, needs, budget, and timeline).
- Engage with potential clients to understand their challenges and determine whether they are a good fit for our cybersecurity solutions.
- Pipeline Development:
- Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to ensure a steady flow of qualified leads into the sales pipeline.
- Maintain and update CRM with accurate and timely information on leads and sales opportunities.
- Collaboration with Sales Team:
- Schedule qualified meetings and demos for the sales team, ensuring a smooth handoff and follow-up.
- Provide relevant insights and context to the sales team to support successful lead conversion.
- Revenue Growth Contribution:
- Meet and exceed weekly and monthly targets for lead generation and qualified meetings.
- Contribute to the company’s overall revenue goals by generating high-quality leads that lead to closed deals.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, products, and industry news to effectively communicate our value proposition.
- Participate in ongoing training to refine sales techniques and improve performance.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in sales development, lead generation, or similar roles, preferably in cybersecurity, technology, or B2B industries.
- Communication Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex cybersecurity solutions to potential clients.
- Sales Acumen:
- Understanding of the sales process with a focus on prospecting, qualifying leads, and setting up meetings for the sales team.
- Tech-Savvy:
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and lead generation platforms.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity products and services is a plus but not required.
- Results-Driven:
- Ability to meet and exceed performance metrics (e.g., calls made, meetings scheduled, leads qualified).
- Self-Motivated:
- Proactive, goal-oriented, and eager to contribute to the growth of a dynamic company.
- Team Player:
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with sales, marketing, and other internal teams.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
