Requirements
  • 3 Nursing Assistant/Certified Nursing Assistant or Emergency Medical Technician required
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Experience in a medical field
  • Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Responsibilities
  • Ensure the health and safety of precollege students and staff following established program policies and procedures and the Center for Disease Control
  • Create and maintain an emotionally and physically safe health service environment for students and staff
  • Maintain Health Forms and other health-related documents through SchoolDoc for students and staff
  • Log all treatment to students and staff daily
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
  • Perform first aid and dispense OTC medications under the guidance of the signed Standing Orders or original prescription mandate
  • Pass pertinent student health information to the appropriate staff before student arrival and as needed throughout the program
  • Ensure that all prescriptions and medicines are properly labeled and locked in the medicine cabinet or refrigerator
  • Maintain first aid kits and logs for on campus, field trips and any other location that is deemed necessary and appropriate, with weekly upkeep and replenishment
  • Maintain clear communication with other health team members and the Health Supervisor
  • Adhere to practices in completing incident reports
  • Facilitate emergency medical issues with initial medical assessment and triage
  • Set a good example for students and staff
  • Participate in staff meetings and training, where applicable
