Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (required)
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or related industry
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement software is highly desirable
  • Advanced understanding of procurement principles, strategic sourcing, and supply chain management
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) and procurement software
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to procurement
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers
  • Ability to lead initiatives and drive process improvements
Responsibilities
  • Lead the sourcing and procurement of materials, goods, and services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and budgetary requirements
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiate contracts, and evaluate supplier performance to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through strategic negotiations, bulk purchasing, and process improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast material needs, plan procurement activities, and ensure inventory levels meet production and operational requirements
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with regulatory requirements, company policies, and ethical standards. Mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions or supplier issues
  • Analyze procurement data to identify trends, track spending, and generate reports for management. Use insights to inform decision-making and improve procurement strategies
  • Identify inefficiencies in the procurement process and implement solutions to enhance productivity, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness
  • Draft, review, and manage contracts with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the organization
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including production, finance, and quality assurance teams, to align procurement activities with business needs
  • Provide guidance and support to procurement staff, such as Purchasing Agents, to foster their professional development
