  • A minimum of 8 years of professional business and/or information technology experience.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills for conveying information clearly to internal and external customers.
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management.
  • Ability to function on application and technical projects at the project level.
  • Adaptability to multiple demands and deadlines, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change with little or no supervision or direction.
  • A minimum of 40 hours of project-management-related professional development in the past four years.
  • Skills in documentation, spreadsheet, and database applications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Access, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint.
Responsibilities
  • Submit Project Change Control Requests when revisions to scope, schedule, or budget are required, and make recommendations to Program Managers on program-related change requests.
  • Prepare Project Status Reports and provide regular status updates to Program Managers, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Act as a liaison between business customers and project teams by building cooperative, constructive, and effective relationships.
  • Conduct project meetings and perform project tracking and analysis.
  • Perform administrative duties including data gathering, metrics, and reports, and manage the supporting project budget.
  • Deliver assigned projects successfully according to established PMO and quality standards and within defined scope, quality, time, and cost requirements.
  • Facilitate quality systems, continuous process improvement, and project-related change management according to organizational needs.
  • Assist in developing functional and non-functional project requirements for customers and implement strategies and initiatives that meet or exceed business requirements and customer expectations.
  • Coordinate resource feedback discussions with and provide resource feedback to Program Leads and Program Managers.
  • Manage project-level assumptions, risks, and issues, providing direction and guidance as needed.
  • Manage medium- to large-sized projects from concept through closure, planning and tracking major activities, milestones, and deliverables and accurately reporting progress.
  • Maintain project instrumentation, including project plans, status reports, assumption, risk and issue logs, change-control logs, budgets and estimates, resource plans, and funding requests.
  • Manage project plans by guiding team members on assignments, tasks, priorities, and timeframes.
  • Drive project-plan refresh activities based on Program Manager direction and input from Program and Project Leads, and update project plans in alignment with the overall Program Plan.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with organizational policies and standards.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or IT, or commensurate experience, is preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Access is preferred.
  • Certification in Business Analysis from PMI upon hire is preferred.
  • A Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) designation upon hire is preferred.
  • An insurance-related certification such as FLMI, CLU, or a related industry designation is helpful but not required.
