Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in cloud or related fields, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Proven experience managing teams of customer engineering, DevOps, operations, or SRE engineers
  • Software engineering background and experience developing or operating SaaS platforms
  • Strong technical skills, with a deep understanding of AWS cloud infrastructure, cloud architecture, and related technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external stakeholders
Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the customer engineering team
  • Establish and maintain policies and procedures for the company's cloud operations
  • Work closely with all the development and DevOps teams, hold them accountable for adhering to supportability best practices and ensuring that their code is deployable, scalable, and maintainable in the cloud environment
  • Establish cost governance and drive down the operating costs of the product
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive product improvements to improve supportability
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency and customer operations
  • Drive production incident management, coordinate and drive debugging production issues, and represent the entire engineering team in sessions with the customers
  • Drive quality first mindset in the team and ensure that the product meets the quality and compliance guidelines
  • Empathize with the customers and be the voice of the customer in all the product related activities
  • Act decisively and remove impediments for the team
  • Hire strong engineers and retain them
  • Be the cultural steward and uphold the company values
