Responsibilities
  • Review and evaluate proposed projects with customers to define the scope of work and to ensure compliance with codes and Albany Medical Center standards
  • Work with contractor/vendors to refine the scope of work and secure pricing from the contractors or vendor for each project
  • Develop project schedule working with the customer, contractor, vendor and in house trade supervisors as needed
  • Coordinate projects with the customer, contractor, vendors, and in house trade supervisor to assure that the project is complete on time with a minimum impact on services and operations
  • Assist in setting priorities for project work and maintain a master schedule for all projects
  • Supervises, inspects and approves project work to insure conformance with the project plans and specification
  • Enforce center policies and procedures with contractor and vendors
  • Inspect projects each day while under construction for compliance with codes and Albany Medical Centers policy and procedures
  • Work with Epidemiology and Environmental Health and Safety to ensure contractor safe work practices are being upheld
  • Record and generate the minutes from the relocations meeting and distribute those relocation requirements to the foremen and supervisors
  • Record, generate and keep an up to date facility project list on all on going facility projects and present that list weekly to the AVP and director
  • Carry out duties assigned by the AVP
  • Responsible for providing required reports pertaining to our life safety environment
  • Coordinates with Facility Engineering department on necessary utility shutdowns for project/developments in assigned areas
  • When needed, management reserves the right to assign or reassign all employees
