Salary Range: 75000 to 100000 (Currency: USD) (Pay period: per-year-salary)
The Real Deal is looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to join our digital team. You will join a team building innovative content and big data applications in the real estate space. You will be responsible for exploratory and automated testing to ensure product quality. You should be comfortable working directly with editorial and research teams, have experience working in a scrum Agile environment and be comfortable being part of the full software lifecycle from requirements gathering to software development, testing and release.
Job Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions.
You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts)
Create quality measurements to track improvement in products
Execute quality improvement testing and activities
Develop quality assurance standards and company processes
Ensure products meet customer expectations and demandCreate reports documenting errors and issues for fixing
Work closely with the development team to improve existing products
Maintain standards for reliability and performance of production
Qualifications:
Proven work experience in a full software development life cycle
At least 2 years experience in software quality assurance
Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting and ability to validate data directly in a database
Knowledge of and experience in automated testing tools
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
