- Successful completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education or American Osteopathic Association approved postgraduate training program in orthopaedic surgery is required.
- Successful completion of the requirements of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery for certification in orthopaedic surgery is required.
- Completion of an orthopaedic surgery residency is required.
- Board certification or active participation in the examination process leading to certification in the specialty and subspecialty, if applicable, is required.
- An unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Washington must be maintained.
- Current Drug Enforcement Administration registration must be maintained.
- Current Basic Life Support certification must be maintained.
- Appropriate continuing medical education credits must be maintained according to Washington State and Olympic Medical Center Medical Staff requirements.
- Appropriate privileges and membership on the Olympic Medical Center Medical Staff must be maintained.
- Provide orthopaedic services to Olympic Medical Center at its Level III Trauma facility.
- Provide person-centered care to rural patients as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Respond to first-call orthopaedic needs with support from an orthopaedic physician assistant-certified or advanced registered nurse practitioner.
- Provide patient follow-up through the orthopaedic clinic system.
- Two or more years of practice in orthopaedic trauma surgery.
