Reporting to the Lead Product Owner, Disability Value Stream, the Product Owner is accountable to coordinate and support actions that will transform the business and drive our strategy forward. In this role, you will partner closely with the Disability Senior Product Owner (SPO), the Disability Leadership team and IT teams. This role requires a deep understanding of the Disability environment.
Position Responsibilities:
Coordinates across team members to drive product development decisions with direction from the Disability Lead Product Owner
Aids Disability LPO in defining the product backlog and feature prioritization process of the squad
Determines and completes backlog priorities
Completes detailed user stories, partnering with squads to enable delivery of prioritized features
Ensures communication and delivery between design & engineering teams
Acts as the voice of the customer in the definition of product; incorporates feedback from customer interviews and business users
Collaborates closely with business partners to achieve business priorities & initiatives
Actively coaches squads and assists with management
Provide PO acceptance of the delivered features
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience working in large, complex, national operational environment
Knowledge of Insurance, Group Benefits and Health is an asset
Preferred Qualifications:
Highly developed teamwork, communication and influencing skills
Ability to work optimally within a geographically dispersed team and leverage knowledge across the organization
Ability to understand flow of work from intake to release, optimizing squad work in progress, and clearly communicating priorities for upcoming work
Coaching attitude and abilities, enabling team members in defining solutions, and delivering to outcomes.
Bilingual (French & English) is an asset

$74,270.00 CAD - $137,930.00 CAD
