Requirements
  • Applicants must be, or be eligible to become, licensed attorneys in the State of Oklahoma with at least ten (10) years of relevant experience.
  • Strong writing, research, oral advocacy, and organization skills, as well as superior attention to detail, are required.
  • All applicants must agree in writing to complete, and satisfactorily pass, a background investigation.
Responsibilities
  • Working within a team of agents, analysts, and other attorneys, to prosecute abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation perpetrated against residents in long term care facilities, and patients in the Medicaid system in Oklahoma.
  • Working within a team of agents, analysts, and other attorneys, to prosecute fraud in the Medicaid system.
  • Working with Federal partners to conduct investigations and prosecutions.
  • Drafting, issuing, and filing documents such as Subpoenas and Informations.
  • Working with agents to prepare Probable Cause Affidavits and Search Warrants.
  • Working with administrative personnel to prepare and submit exclusion documentation.
  • Preparing and conducting criminal Discovery.
  • Motion practice.
  • Conducting hearings and trials as needed.
  • Networking with, and assisting, federal and other state counterparts (as appropriate).
  • Working as part of a larger network of MFCUs nationwide.
  • Presenting outreach materials to various groups and entities.
