LEAP is hiring a Financial analyst for our Finance team. We are looking for candidates with a finance or data science major and a minimum of one year experience with managing data & performing financial and operational analysis. The ideal candidate is an Excel wizard who is passionate about details and file structure integrity, who is an automation evangelist, curious and skeptical about the raw data used. You will need an understanding of accounting and financial reporting.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
A key part of your job will be to analyze sales & expense data to identify trends & improvement opportunities. Your main tools will be Excel, Salesforce, Zuora and Xero.
- Analyze financial data (budgets, income statement forecasts) taking into account company’s goals and financial standing.
- You will be responsible for maintaining & improving cost models with reference to financial and operational KPI’s.
- You will administer the month-end close & financial reporting tracking system (monday.com)
- Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance.
- Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports.
- Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance and develop forecast models.
- Analyze actual results in comparison with budgets and forecasts
- Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data.
- Consult with management to guide and influence long term and strategic decision making within the broadest scope.
- Drive process improvement and initiatives.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Proven working experience as a Finance Analyst
- Expert in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications
- Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills
- A self-starter, confident to ask questions, propose improvements, and motivated to complete the task at hand.
- BS degree in Finance, Economics or related field
