Human API builds a consumer-driven health data network that securely connects patients’ electronic health records and related health data with life insurance carriers and healthcare organizations. The platform uses a proprietary consent-management system to let consumers decide who can access their data, and it connects to tens of thousands of data sources (hospitals, clinics, labs, pharmacies, wearable devices) to ingest, normalize, and structure mixed health information. Clients access this unified data via APIs to automate underwriting, improve risk assessment, and enhance care coordination. The core differences are a large, opt-in data liquidity network and consumer-controlled data sharing, enabling faster, more informed decisions compared with manually gathering records. The goal is to streamline underwriting for insurers and improve patient care collaboration by providing timely, comprehensive health data.
