Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency program.
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology.
  • Current, unrestricted Florida medical license or eligibility for licensure.
  • DEA registration or eligibility, if required.
  • Proficiency with radiology picture archiving and communication systems, radiology information systems, and electronic health record systems.
  • Ability to manage inpatient imaging workflow efficiently.
  • Strong diagnostic accuracy and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
  • Interpret inpatient diagnostic imaging studies, including X-ray, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy, based on training and credentialing.
  • Provide imaging coverage for inpatient units and the emergency department.
  • Communicate findings clearly and promptly with referring physicians and care teams.
  • Participate in on-site radiology coverage during scheduled shifts.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and complete reporting in the radiology information system and electronic health record.
  • Adhere to departmental protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in quality assurance, peer review, and performance improvement activities.
  • Support patient safety initiatives and evidence-based imaging practices.
