Affirm offers point-of-sale financing solutions as an alternative to traditional credit cards, primarily targeting consumers seeking flexible payment options and merchants wanting to provide these plans. Its main service is "buy now, pay later" (BNPL), allowing consumers to make purchases and pay over time through installment plans without hidden fees or deferred interest. Affirm partners with various merchants to integrate its payment solutions into their platforms, whether online or in-store, using user-friendly plugins and APIs. The company generates revenue from interest and fees on installment loans and from merchants who pay to offer Affirm's financing options. Additionally, Affirm provides a merchant dashboard for transaction processing and promotional tools to help businesses market these financing options effectively. The goal of Affirm is to empower consumers with more purchasing power while supporting merchants in increasing their sales.
