Requirements
  • 10+ years in quality engineering or test automation, including 5+ years leading a quality assurance or test automation team.
  • Direct experience building automated regression coverage into a legacy codebase with limited existing test coverage.
  • Hands-on familiarity with AI-assisted testing and quality tooling, including AI-driven test generation, self-healing tests, mutation testing, visual regression, and anomaly detection, with a track record of critically evaluating tools.
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, and continuous integration and continuous delivery tooling.
  • Experience owning release readiness and go/no-go decisions.
  • Experience owning continuous integration and continuous delivery quality gates and partnering with DevOps, development, and platform teams to embed checks into deployment pipelines.
  • Comfort operating in legacy enterprise systems using Java, SOAP, or 4GL-era technologies undergoing modernization.
  • A track record of building and scaling a quality assurance organization through hiring, coaching engineers from manual execution toward automation, and career pathing.
  • Experience working in a private-equity-backed or metrics-driven environment where quality outcomes such as defect escape rate, test coverage, and mean time to repair are regularly reported to leadership.
Responsibilities
  • Own quality strategy and automated test architecture across Prophet, Lynx, AI Agents, Data Platform, and Analytics.
  • Build and scale automated regression coverage across products, prioritizing work by risk and customer impact.
  • Evaluate and adopt AI-assisted quality tooling, including AI-driven test generation, self-healing test suites, mutation testing, visual and user-interface regression, and log- and production-anomaly-based quality signals.
  • Define and own quality gates in continuous integration and continuous delivery, partnering with development leaders, the Director of IT, and DevOps and Security to embed automated checks directly into the deployment pipeline.
  • Partner with Product Engineering directors and Architecture to shift quality left by making testability a design requirement.
  • Own quality metrics and reporting, including defect escape rate, test coverage, mean time to repair on quality issues, and regression suite health.
  • Drive triage and burn-down of the legacy defect backlog using clear criteria for items to fix immediately versus items that will not be fixed.
  • Champion a quality culture across engineering.
  • Hire and build a quality assurance and test automation team skilled in traditional test engineering and AI-assisted tooling.
  • Grow QA engineers toward automation and tooling fluency, shifting the team from manual execution toward automation design and AI tool orchestration.
  • Partner with Product Engineering directors to share quality ownership and embed quality thinking into developer onboarding.
  • Contribute to nine-box reviews and career pathing for QA and test engineers.
  • Own release readiness and go/no-go decisions.
  • Partner with customers, AI and testing tooling vendors, and customer technical teams as needed to address quality issues, validate fixes, and handle escalations.
